KNOXVILLE, Tenn – Lynae Shorter continued her remarkable performance, securing first place in the 3-Meter competition on the second day of the tennessee Diving Invitational. The event, held thursday at the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center, also saw strong showings from the Tennessee men’s diving team, with two athletes finishing on the podium.

Shorter Claims First Win of the Season

Shorter dominated the women’s 3-meter final with a score of 338.10, marking her first individual victory of the 2026 season and her seventh top-three finish of the year. Teammate Emma Rhines also contributed to the team’s success, finishing eighth with a score of 244.80.

Men’s Team Shines in 1-Meter Competition

On the men’s side, Bennett Greene and Thomas Ciprick delivered notable performances. Greene earned a second-place finish in the 1-meter event with a score of 390.35, while Ciprick followed up his strong showing on Wednesday to take third place in the 1-meter with a score of 362.60.

nick Stone achieved his first top-five finish of the year, securing fifth place with a score of 342.45. Frazer Tavener rounded out the Tennessee divers in the top ten, placing tenth overall in the 1-meter competition.

Looking Ahead

The Tennessee Diving Invitational concludes on Friday with the combined Platform event. The finals are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. and will be streamed live on SEC Network+.
