Glasgow 2026 has appointed the Games’ first ever electrified vehicle partner with BYD as Official Car Partner.
The partnership was announced at Glasgow’s Riverside Museum with Commonwealth bronze Swimmer and Team Scotland hopeful, Katie Shanahan. BYD will provide the Games with 90 vehicles supporting transportation for Games Family, support crew and any operational needs across the eight-mile corridor that will stage record breaking competition.
BYD also becomes an Official Supporter of Team Scotland, providing vehicles for Games-time team requirements and King’s Baton Relay activation in Scotland.
BYD brings a proven track record in transportation solutions for major international events, their Glasgow fleet will span the BYD range with fully electric and hybrid models from the Prestige lineup as well as SUVs, all designed with BYD’s leading battery technology.
Jade Gallagher, Chief Operating Officer, Glasgow 2026, said,“One of our biggest ambitions for Glasgow 2026 is to be the most environmentally sustainable Commonwealth Games, setting new standards for best practice by using existing venues, reducing waste and carbon emissions. We can’t achieve that without a partner like BYD who have a global reputation their innovation in New Energy Vehicles.
“We’re encouraging active travel across our eight-mile corridor of iconic venues, meaning we’ve reduced the volume of vehicles needed to power a major multi-sport event and BYD will support transportation for Games Family, support crew and operations.”
Northamptonshire County Cricket Club have announced an extension of their partnership with dbfb for an additional four years.
As the official player pathway and academy partner, the company has committed to supporting the club’s youth development.
The newly signed deal includes sponsorship of the front of the academy playing shirt and the Academy Player of the Year title at the End of Season Awards. Furthermore, dbfb has secured signage branding around Wantage Road and will act as a hospitality partner throughout the 2026 season.

The Netball Super League has announced a new partnership with law firm Taylor Emmet Solicitors for the 2026 Netball Super Cup.
The deal sees the Sheffield-based firm named as an official partner of the event, which returns to the Utilita Arena in Sheffield on Saturday 21st February 2026.
The one-day tournament will feature the first competitive action of the season for all eight NSL clubs. Reigning champions London Pulse set out to defend their titles, with the winner crowned 2026 Netball Super Cup champions at the end of the day.
The sponsorship highlights the firm’s commitment to women’s sport and aligns with its ‘Women’s Health and Wealth’ initiative, designed to champion the wellbeing of women and girls while celebrating female role models. As part of the partnership, the brand will receive a visible presence on court and in the arena throughout the day.

Global sports OTT provider StreamAMG has agreed a strategic partnership with SaaS platform provider Applicaster to enhance the digital TV viewing experience.
Customers of StreamAMG’s OTT platform, Blaze, can now launch and scale applications across eight major TV platforms. The collaboration aims to accelerate expansion into the connected TV ecosystem, delivering live and on-demand sports content on the big screen.
By combining StreamAMG’s sports backbone with Applicaster’s no-code app platform, Zapp, the deal enables clients to launch TV apps faster and operate them more efficiently. The pair are already supporting clients, such as Leeds United, to extend their reach beyond web and mobile to deliver consistent experiences across additional devices.
