Sony Alpha Community Event Comes to Boston with Fresh Alpha 7 V Camera

Sony is hosting a free photography experience, “Creative Space on the Road,” at Sam Adams Park in Boston, Massachusetts, on April 29th and 30th, 2026. The event will feature the newly released Alpha 7 V camera and a variety of interactive experiences for photography enthusiasts.

Event Details

The “Creative Space on the Road” event will capture place at Sam Adams Park, located at 1 Faneuil Hall Square, Boston, MA 02109. The schedule is as follows:

  • April 29, 2026: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • April 30, 2026: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM

What to Expect

Attendees will have the opportunity to strive Sony’s latest cameras and lenses without any purchase requirement. The event will similarly include:

  • Guided photowalks
  • Professional portrait sessions
  • Interactive experiences
  • Opportunities to meet creators and influencers

Photowalks and Gear Availability

Photowalks will be offered on both days, with multiple departure times. However, loaner gear for the photowalks is limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants interested in checking out equipment are encouraged to inquire upon arrival about availability. Photowalk times are as follows:

  • Wednesday, April 29: 5:30 PM, 6:45 PM
  • Thursday, April 30: 11:00 AM, 12:30 PM, 2:00 PM, 3:30 PM, 5:30 PM, 7:00 PM

Photowalks are expected to last approximately 60 minutes, though departure times are subject to change.

What to Bring

To fully participate in the event, attendees are encouraged to bring the following:

  • Photo ID (if planning to check out an Alpha 7 V camera or Sony lens)
  • SD Card
  • Comfortable walking shoes
  • Weather-appropriate clothing (sunscreen, layers, etc.)

Location and Parking

Sam Adams Park is located in Faneuil Hall. Paid parking is available in nearby garages and street parking is also an option. The park is also accessible via Boston’s public transportation system, known as the “T.”
