Kingsholm Stadium Secures Freemans Event Partners for Summer Concert Series
Kingsholm Stadium in Gloucester has appointed Freemans Event Partners to manage food and beverage operations for the upcoming ‘Kingsholm Summer Series’ concerts, marking the return of large-scale live music to the venue for the first time since 2019. The partnership will encompass events featuring Sir Tom Jones and the Ministry of Sound Classical Orchestra.
Concert Lineup and Details
The Kingsholm Summer Series will kick off on Saturday, June 27, 2026, with a performance by the Ministry of Sound Classical Orchestra. The following evening, Sunday, June 28, 2026, will see the return of Welsh music icon Sir Tom Jones, who previously sold out the stadium in 2012 and performed to over 17,000 fans in 2017. Gloucester Rugby CEO Alex Brown expressed excitement about bringing live entertainment back to the city.
Freemans Event Partners Role
Freemans Event Partners will be responsible for the full delivery of food and beverage services and the creation of curated fan zones throughout the concert series. Freemans Event Partners Executive Chairman Stephen Freeman stated the company is “extremely proud to be supporting Gloucester Rugby” and that bringing major live acts back to Kingsholm Stadium represents “an exciting new chapter for the city.” Hospitality & Catering News reported on the partnership.
Pitch Protection Measures
Gloucester Rugby will implement measures to protect the stadium’s artificial grass during the concerts, covering it with specialized matting designed for artificial surfaces. This will ensure the pitch is in optimal condition for the start of pre-season training in July. The BBC reported on these preparations.
Ticket Information
Tickets for both concerts will go on sale on March 4, 2026.
