Delta Goodrem returns to Strictly Come Dancing
Delta Goodrem secured the first 10 of the 2026 series of Strictly Come Dancing on October 24, returning to the BBC ballroom after missing the previous week due to a fractured rib. Performing a rumba to Celine Dion’s “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now” alongside professional partner Kai Widdrington, the singer earned a score of 34 points, placing her second on the leaderboard according to reporting from the Press Association. The 41-year-old singer had to withdraw from the show’s icons special after sustaining the rib injury. Digital Spy reported that Goodrem received medical clearance ahead of the live show and shared her emotional reaction to the support she received from viewers and her partner. Judge Anton Du Beke awarded the pair the maximum score, telling Goodrem it was his favourite dance of the series by a million miles. Goodrem acknowledged the physical challenges of the week, noting that working through the process step by step required a positive mindset.
Tabby Stoecker tops the leaderboard with two 10s
Winter Olympic champion Tabby Stoecker followed Goodrem’s routine by earning two 10s and a series-high total of 37 points. Dancing a couple’s choice routine to Olivia Rodrigo’s “Stupid Song” with professional partner Mark Karmalita, Stoecker dedicated the performance to her late father.
Judge Shirley Ballas praised Stoecker as a beautiful dancer and described the performance as exquisite. The high score placed the Olympian at the top of the leaderboard for the weekend.
Contrasting scores across the ballroom
Social media star John Nellis and professional partner Katya Jones placed third with 32 points for their quickstep to McFly’s “Five Colours in Her Hair”. Three other couples matched a score of 31: TV dog trainer Graeme Hall and Lauren Oakley, Big Brother presenter Will Best and Dianne Buswell, and former Love Island winner Dani Dyer alongside Nikita Kuzmin. Dyer’s strong score came just a week after landing in the bottom two.
At the other end of the leaderboard, former England winger Shaun Wright-Phillips and Alexis Warr scored 17 points for their jive to Stevie Wonder’s “Faith”. Judge Craig Revel Horwood branded the routine a disaster. They were joined in the bottom two by Emmerdale star Lawrence Robb and Jowita Przystal, who scored 19 points for their jive to a mash-up of Fatboy Slim and The Knack.
