Bundesliga Team of the Week Features Stuttgart and Leipzig Duos

VfB Stuttgart, Werder Bremen, and RB Leipzig each placed two players in the latest Bundesliga Team of the Week, arranged in a 3-4-3 formation, fussballdaten.de reported. Werder Bremen striker Niclas Füllkrug earned a spot after scoring his ninth goal of the season in a 2:0 victory against Hoffenheim. That finish extends his lead at the top of the league’s scoring chart to two goals ahead of Bayer Leverkusen forward Patrik Schick.

Teammate Amos Pieper joins Füllkrug in the weekly selection as an anchor in central defense. Meanwhile, Stuttgart contributed the attacking duo of Ermedin Demirović and Bilal El Khannouss following a 4:2 away victory against Leverkusen. Demirović netted twice during the match, while El Khannouss added a goal to secure their places in the lineup.

RB Leipzig rounded out the multi-player clubs with defender David Raum and Norwegian international Antonio Nusa. Nusa converted a penalty kick to open the scoring in a 2:0 win against Schalke and later assisted Rômulo for the second goal, earning player of the match honors. Raum delivered another reliable defensive performance alongside him.

Konrad Laimer Stands Alone from Der Klassiker

From the high-profile fixture between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, only Konrad Laimer earned inclusion in the squad. The Bayern defender opened the scoring during the 2:2 draw against BVB. Despite finding the back of the net, Dortmund attacking duo Serhou Guirassy and Fábio Silva missed out on selection for the round.

FC Augsburg forward Michael Gregoritsch completed the three-man forward line alongside Demirović and Füllkrug. Gregoritsch put Augsburg ahead with a first-half strike against SC Freiburg, though his team ultimately fell to a 2:1 defeat.

Standout Performances in Goal and Midfield

Hamburger SV goalkeeper Daniel Heuer Fernandes anchored the defensive selection, preventing a heavier defeat during a 3:1 loss away to Eintracht Frankfurt through a series of crucial saves. In midfield, Felix Keidel of SV Elversberg and Janik Haberer of Union Berlin claimed spots after early-match scoring contributions.

Keidel opened the scoring in the seventh minute with a direct free-kick during Elversberg’s 4:1 victory over Mainz 05. Haberer matched that early impact by scoring in the tenth minute for Union Berlin against Cologne, a match that ended in a 1:1 draw after Malek El Mala equalized in the 79th minute.
