Suki Waterhouse on Music, Motherhood, and the Inspiration Behind Her New Album ‘Loveland’
Suki Waterhouse, the British actress and musician, has opened up about how her role in the hit series Daisy Jones & The Six catalyzed her music career, leading to the upcoming release of her third album, Loveland. The album, set for July 10, 2026, marks a new chapter in her artistic journey, influenced by both her professional experiences and personal life.
From Screen to Studio: The Daisy Jones & The Six Effect
Waterhouse portrayed Karen Sirko, the keyboardist of the fictional band in the 1970s-set drama, which drew comparisons to the legendary Fleetwood Mac. While she had previously released singles, the pandemic provided the catalyst for her debut album, I Can’t Let Go, in 2022. “I was suddenly learning piano in a very serious way for hours and hours a day,” she shared with Variety. “The pandemic happened, and I was back in London, stuck here for a year with all those new tools in front of me. I had that moment of realising, I really want to finally put together my first piece of work.”

Love, Loss, and New Beginnings
Loveland is deeply personal, with the lead single “Back in Love” reflecting her relationship with partner Robert Pattinson following the birth of their first child. “It’s like [I got] belief back in myself,” Waterhouse explained. “It’s also a new relationship. Your old relationship has been wiped out, and so it’s building that new one and kind of celebrating the beauty in that, like, we’ve survived this.”
Summer Festivals and Musical Evolution
Waterhouse will promote Loveland with festival appearances, including Lollapalooza in July and All Things Go in September. The album showcases her growth as an artist, blending introspective lyricism with evolving musical styles.
Looking Ahead
With Loveland, Suki Waterhouse continues to carve her path in the music industry, merging her theatrical roots with a deeply personal sound. As she prepares for her festival rounds, fans eagerly await the full release of her third LP, set to drop just in time for the summer season.
