ESOTERIC Launches Three New SACD Reissues Remastered at In-House Mastering Facility

TEAC Corporation announced that its high-end audio brand ESOTERIC is releasing three new Super Audio CD (SACD) hybrid titles. The fresh batch of classical and popular music reissues features newly remastered sound handled directly by the company’s dedicated facility.

Mastering Infrastructure and Technical Equipment

The company processes the new recordings at its recently established Esoteric Mastering Center. Studio engineers rely on flagship Grandioso hardware series—including the Grandioso D1X, Grandioso C1X, and Grandioso G1X—alongside a Merging Pyramix workstation customized specifically for ESOTERIC, and MEXCEL cables.

Mastering engineer Masaya Tohno executes the restoration work under the direct supervision of Motoaki Ohmachi. The production chain also integrates specialized MEXCEL cabling to preserve signal fidelity from the original master tapes down to the hybrid disc format.

Lorin Maazel Leads Cleveland Orchestra Sessions from 1980

The first title in the new trio highlights Lorin Maazel leading the Cleveland Orchestra during the 1980 recording sessions at Medina Temple in Chicago.

Violinist Akiko Suwanai Pairs Stradivarius Dolphin with British and French Concertos

Violinist Akiko Suwanai steps into the catalog with performances recorded using the “Dolphin” Stradivarius violin. The album pairs Jean Sibelius and William Walton concertos recorded with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra under conductor Sakari Oramo against Ernest Chausson’s Poème recorded with the Philharmonia Orchestra under Charles Dutoit.

Linda Ronstadt Pop Breakthrough Arrives on Hybrid Disc

The final title shifts genres to American pop music with Linda Ronstadt’s 1974 album Heart Like a Wheel. Released originally through Capitol Records, the recording marked the singer’s first appearance at number one on the album charts. The physical re-release extracts direct stream digital (DSD) sound from the original masters.
