Technics has expanded its turntable lineup with the SL-1500CS, a new model building upon the success of the SL-1500C. The SL-1500CS integrates advanced technology previously reserved for higher-end Technics turntables, aiming to deliver a significant leap in sonic performance within its price category.

The most significant upgrade in the SL-1500CS is the implementation of Technics’ ΔΣ (Delta Sigma) Drive system. Tracking Angle reports that this technology, initially introduced in the SL-1200GR2 and SL-1300G, focuses on minimizing motor vibrations and speed fluctuations. By employing sophisticated signal processing techniques, the ΔΣ-Drive aims to achieve a cleaner, more stable sound and improved detail retrieval.
