Both Newcastle and Tottenham have managed to combine a decent European campaign this season with an inconsistent Premier League performance, which has Magpies and Spurs in the lower middle of the Premier League.
This year, Thomas Frank’s Tottenham have not been able to make home ground count; In fact, the London team is the worst home team in the Premier, except for teams in the relegation zone. The Spurs this season only managed 10 points in 12 games at home. But, like Frank, Eddie Howe does not have a good time as Newcastle Utd manager. Against Spurs, Newcastle will be looking to avoid their 11th defeat of the season after losing 2-3 at St James Park against Brentford. Howe called his team’s last game, which was also their third straight loss, a “crude reality.”
