Palm Beach International Airport Set to be Renamed After Donald Trump

Palm Beach International Airport is poised to be renamed “President Donald J. Trump International Airport” after the Florida Legislature approved a bill to do so. The measure now awaits the signature of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and is likewise subject to approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Legislative Approval

The bill passed the Florida Senate on Thursday with a vote of 25-11, with all opposition coming from Democrats. The House of Representatives had previously passed the measure 81-30 earlier in the week CNN. The act is scheduled to take effect in July.

Trump’s Florida Residency

Florida GOP leaders have highlighted that Trump is the first president to establish permanent residency in the state.
