Universal Studios Hollywood’s ‘Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift’ to Open This Summer with Four Iconic Cars
Universal Studios Hollywood is gearing up for the summer 2026 launch of “Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift,” a high-speed outdoor roller coaster promising a thrilling experience for fans of the blockbuster film franchise. The ride will feature four meticulously crafted ride vehicles inspired by iconic cars from the Fast & Furious movies: the Dodge Charger, Mazda RX-7, Nissan Skyline GT-R, and Toyota Supra.
A Rad Quartet of Cool Cars
The attraction, which has been under development for some time, will offer a unique blend of classic coaster elements with a street-racing aesthetic. Instead of traditional coaster cars, riders will board vehicles designed to replicate the look and feel of the cars driven in the films as reported by NBC Los Angeles.
Universal revealed in 2025 that the Dodge Charger would be one of the ride vehicles, sparking excitement among fans. On March 4, 2026, the studio unveiled the remaining three vehicles: the Mazda RX-7, Nissan Skyline GT-R, and Toyota Supra according to NBC New York.
Experiencing the Drift
“Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift” aims to deliver the “seamless sensation of drifting cars,” a signature move in the Fast & Furious films. The coaster will traverse over 4,100 feet of track – equivalent to nearly a dozen football fields – and reach speeds of up to 72 mph .
Universal Studios Hollywood: A Movie Experience
Universal Studios Hollywood continues to enhance its offerings, providing immersive experiences based on popular movies and television shows as highlighted by NBCUniversal. “Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift” is the latest addition to the park’s lineup of attractions, promising a high-octane adventure for thrill-seekers and fans of the franchise.
