Universal Studios Japan Adds Fullmetal Alchemist and Yomi no Tsugai to 2027 Lineup
Universal Studios Japan will feature Fullmetal Alchemist and Yomi no Tsugai during its Universal Cool Japan 2027 event. The seasonal program opens in the spring of 2027, bringing two manga properties by creator Hiromu Arakawa to the Osaka theme park. The announcement expands the park’s Japanese pop culture slate to five total franchises, joining previously confirmed attractions based on Sailor Moon, The Apothecary Diaries, and Detective Conan.
Fullmetal Alchemist Returns for 25th Anniversary
The Fullmetal Alchemist Fullmetal Alchemist collaboration marks the second time the property has appeared at the park, following a 2005 tour event. The new program arrives as the series celebrates its 25th anniversary. The original manga follows brothers Edward and Alphonse Elric as they search for the Philosopher’s Stone to restore their bodies after a failed transmutation attempt. Universal Studios Japan plans to build an immersive entertainment experience based on the dark fantasy world.
