UNNE Celebrates 69th Anniversary with Art and Sport Event

on December 14, the National University of the Northeast (UNNE) celebrates 69 years of institutional life with two events: “The Celebration of the Sun” and “UNNE Challenge.” “The Celebration of the Sun,” an artistic dance show, will be held on Friday, December 12th at 8:30 p.m. at the Guido Miranda Cultural Complex in Resistencia, Chaco. The “UNNE Challenge,” a sporting event, will take place on Sunday, December 14th in the morning on the Resistencia Campus.

UNNE invites the regional community to participate in these celebrations. the artistic show combines art, identity, and memory, reflecting on the University’s seven decades of commitment to education, research, and regional advancement, and also its connection to the territory and community.

The show, created specifically for this anniversary, symbolizes the pillars of UNNE: academic training, knowledge production through research, and social commitment to the cultural, economic, and human development of Northeast Argentina. Participating dance academies include Duartango, Romance de Zamba, Youth Ballet of Lucia Diez and Verónica Turtola, under the direction of Ángela Rodríguez. The event is coordinated by the General Secretariat of University Extension and the Northeast Cultural Center, with support from Nuevo Banco del Chaco and the institute of Culture.

UNNE Challenge Race Set for December 6th, 2025

The National University of the Northeast (UNNE) in Argentina will host the “UNNE Challenge” race on December 6th, 2025, beginning at 9:30 am. Registration is currently closed due to all available places being filled, with participants benefiting from a 2×1 promotion and receiving a commemorative t-shirt.

The approximately 3.5-kilometer route will weave through the UNNE Campus and surrounding streets, including Avenida las Heras, Franklin, Triunvirato, and Castelli, starting and finishing at the Campus Dining Hall.

Participation is free for UNNE students who can present valid student identification.

Categories and Awards

The race is divided into two categories:

* General Public: Open to individuals over 18 years of age.
* UNNE Community: Including students, faculty, and non-teaching staff.

All participants who complete the course will receive a finisher’s medal. Prizes will also be awarded to the top finishers in each category.
