Illegal Surgery Results in Woman’s Death in Uttar Pradesh
Ambedkar Nagar, uttar Pradesh – Police in Uttar Pradesh have arrested two individuals – a 19-year-old student and a 32-year-old graduate – in connection with the death of a woman following an unauthorized Cesarean section at an unregistered hospital. The incident occurred at Navjeevan Hospital in Baskhari, wich authorities say had been operating illegally for approximately five years.
The deceased has been identified as Priyanka. Yogesh Verma, a BA graduate from Malipur, and Shubham Vishwakarma, a Class 12 student from Sultanpur, have been taken into custody and are facing charges related to the unlawful medical procedure and the resulting death.
Authorities discovered that Navjeevan Hospital was not registered with the appropriate medical authorities and was operating without the necesary licenses or qualified medical personnel. The examination is ongoing to determine the full extent of the illegal practices that occurred at the facility and to identify any potential accomplices.
This case highlights the dangers of seeking medical treatment at unregistered and unauthorized facilities. Authorities are urging the public to verify the credentials and registration status of any healthcare provider before undergoing medical procedures.
The arrests were made after a complaint was filed following Priyanka’s death. Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the surgery and the operation of the illegal hospital.
