USA Women’s Eagles Prepare for Pacific Four Series with UK Alignment Camp

Following a successful domestic camp in Chula Vista, California, USA Rugby Women’s Eagles Head Coach Jack Hanratty has convened a group of overseas-based players for a three-day alignment camp in the United Kingdom. The camp, which began on Wednesday, February 25th, aims to integrate these players with the novel coaching staff and build team cohesion as the program prepares for the 2029 Rugby World Cup and the upcoming Pacific Four Series.

Overseas Talent Converges in the UK

The camp brings together players currently competing in the UK’s Premiership Women’s Rugby (PWR) and other top-flight European leagues in France and Ireland. This strategic move eliminates the demand for mid-season international travel for these athletes even as maintaining the high-performance standards established at the California camp.

Hanratty’s Vision for Team Integration

Jack Hanratty, appointed Head Coach in December 2025 according to USA Rugby, emphasized the importance of connecting with players in their current competitive environments. “The Chula Vista camp was a great opportunity…But for our UK based players, this is a very different stage of their year…We will be coming in ‘to check in’ with the athletes and introduce or redefine principals across all rugby aspects,” Hanratty stated. Pacific Four Series on the Horizon

The UK-based camp is a crucial step in preparation for the 2026 Pacific Four Series, which will be hosted across the United States in April. The Women’s Eagles will return to their clubs following the camp to continue their competitive seasons before reconvening in late March to finalize selections for the series.
