For years, the Vanity Fair Oscar party was held in Beverly Hills, adjacent to the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts. The relocation to LACMA represents a departure from tradition and a deliberate effort to align the event with the artistic heart of Los Angeles. The David Geffen Galleries, designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Peter Zumthor, provided a striking backdrop for the celebration. The galleries, a long, horizontal, glass-and-concrete structure, are expected to open to the public in April 2026 and will serve as LACMA’s new home for its permanent collection. Mark Guiducci, Global Editorial Director of Vanity Fair, emphasized the evolving nature of Hollywood and its increasing intersection with other creative disciplines. “The idea of Hollywood has never been more expansive than it is today,” Guiducci stated. “The film industry intersects with so many disciplines and the silos between them are breaking down.
