The vivo X Fold6 has made its official global debut on September 30, 2026, launching from Shenzhen, China, as the latest flagship foldable smartphone designed for mobile professionals.
OriginOS 7 Fold and Multi-Task Workbench
Driven by the Origin Smooth Engine, OriginOS 7 Fold integrates advanced computing, memory, storage, and rendering capabilities to handle heavy multitasking workloads. At the center of this interface is the Multi-Task Workbench, which operates through Origin Workbench and Multi-Split Screen features. Origin Workbench utilizes a layout featuring one main window and four auxiliary windows to keep primary tasks in focus while coordinating secondary operations. Meanwhile, Multi-Split Screen allows up to four windows to be displayed and freely resized side by side, streamlining complex workflows.
To further enhance efficiency, AI Cross-App Drag enables users to move content directly between applications, such as transferring data from a presentation during an active video call. Additional tools include AI Meeting Assistant, which offers AI Recorder for in-person speaker transcription and structured summaries, alongside AI Captions for real-time subtitles during online meetings. AI File Manager handles document sorting through topics, smart naming, AI summaries, and column views, while AI Reader Mode reformats complex PDFs into clean eBook layouts.

Cross-Device Collaboration and Jovi AI Agent
Beyond standalone smartphone use, vivo Office Kit provides cross-device collaboration features. When connected to a compatible monitor or television, Desktop Mode transforms the foldable device into a desktop-like workspace, enabling users to manage documents and presentations without carrying a separate computer.
The updated operating system introduces Jovi, an intelligent AI agent designed to translate user intent into action across both smartphones and personal computers. Jovi searches and understands materials, generates content, and executes end-to-end office workflows via voice commands. The system also supports scheduled and recurring tasks, automatically running routine workflows and delivering results proactively.

To protect these workflows, the device features Security Shield, a framework that provides system-level protection across applications, communications, and networks. Security Shield actively detects risky app installations, insecure connections, and unauthorized permission requests.
Battery Capacity and Power Management
To support intensive daily workloads, vivo equips the X Fold6 with a 6900 mAh BlueVolt Battery. The power system supports 80W FlashCharge, 40W Wireless FlashCharge, and Wireless Reverse Charging. By utilizing 5th-Gen Silicon Anode Technology, the manufacturer packs this capacity into a slim foldable profile while boosting energy density and durability.
The integration of a 3rd-Gen Semi-Solid-State Battery also improves low-temperature and low-voltage discharge performance, ensuring reliable power output in extreme environmental conditions down to –20°C. The BlueVolt Battery System manages and optimizes power consumption dynamically across low-battery, connected-device, and high-performance scenarios.
