Double Dusk’s “Whisk” Launches Steam Demo, Pioneering Cooperative Platforming

DELAWARE — February 16, 2026 — Independent game studio Double Dusk has released a demo for its innovative two-player platformer, Whisk, on Steam. The game, focused on shared movement and communication, is also participating in the February 2026 Steam Next Fest, offering players a firsthand look at its unique cooperative gameplay.

Cooperative Gameplay at the Core of Whisk

In Whisk, players control characters named Luna and Foam, requiring precise coordination of jumps, grabs, and throws to guide Dreamcats through unstable portals. Every action demands teamwork, and success in speedrunning relies on trust and timing between players, rather than individual skill. The game emphasizes a lighthearted approach, encouraging players to learn from failures and refine their coordination through replayable stages, time trials, and hidden challenges.

The demo features 10 playable stages designed to teach players the core mechanics of flow, communication, and mastery through repetition.

A Team with Industry Experience

Founded in 2024, Double Dusk is a three-person indie team. Founder Alexander Mistakidis brings prior experience from VALORANT, even as Reika Yoshino served as the lead 3D artist on Sky: Children of Light, and Ferenc Nagy is a serial indie Switch game developer. The studio has developed a distinctive watercolor visual style using Unreal Engine 5.

“Whisk took shape from us wanting to build an original teamwork experience not seen before in games. We are inspired by memories of playing catch as kids, talented traditional artists, and the teamwork in gymnastic cheerleading stunts,” said Alexander Mistakidis. “We’re thrilled to witness Whisk’s Dreamcats being saved by teams of players all over the world.”
