Worker Dies in Fall Accident in Nordmarka, Norway

A worker in his 40s died after falling approximately 2-3 meters in Nordmarka, north of Tau, Norway, on October 31, 2025. Despite immediate CPR administered at the scene, paramedics were unable to save his life, according to the Sørvest police district.

Details of the Accident

The accident occurred during work-related activities. The police were notified of the incident and responded to the scene. The man was transported by air ambulance to Stavanger University Hospital, but succumbed to his injuries.

Investigation and Response

The cause of the accident is currently unknown, and police have opened an investigation. The Arbeidstilsynet (Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority) has been notified due to the work-related nature of the incident. Three colleagues who were present at the scene are receiving support from health professionals and the employer.

“The person shall have fallen down 2-3 meters and is conscious,” stated operations manager Rune Tallaksen of the Sørvest police district, prior to the man’s death. Tallaksen later confirmed that the police had completed their work at the scene and were proceeding with the investigation.
