Xbox Game Pass subscribers are receiving a second wave of titles for September, bringing 13 new games to the platform between September 16 and October 6, 2026, according to an announcement by Microsoft. Four of these additions launch as day-one releases on the service, while eight titles are scheduled to leave the catalog on September 30.

New Xbox Game Pass Titles for Late September and Early October 2026

The latest update spans multiple tiers of the Microsoft subscription service, introducing titles ranging from cooperative roguelites to major studio prequels. According to Microsoft’s official schedule, the rollout is split across several dates:

Xbox Game Pass September 2026: New Games and Departures
  • September 16 and 17: Marvel Cosmic Invasion, Planet of Lana II, Routine, and Ultimate Sheep Raccoon arrive for Ultimate and PC subscribers after previously featuring in Premium. They are joined on September 17 by day-one co-op roguelite Kernel Hearts and the hack-and-slash title Ninja Gaiden 4.
  • September 22 to 29: Funcom’s Dune: Awakening and day-one release Well Dweller launch on September 22. Console players receiving Dune: Awakening gain access to the conclusion of Book One alongside revised controller layouts. They are followed by Mad King Redemption on September 23, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on September 25, and the day-one launch of Minecraft Dungeons 2 on September 29, which is also available for individual purchase at 29.99 euros. Additionally, Rematch joins Game Pass Essential on September 25.
  • October 2 and 6: Double Fine’s dialog-free adventure Keeper joins the service on October 2. On October 6, The Coalition’s prequel Gears of War: E-Day launches day-one for Ultimate and PC Game Pass members, priced at 69.99 euros for the standard edition in Spain, with early access for the Premium edition beginning October 1.

Subscription Tier Requirements and Cloud Play

Access to specific games depends on the user’s active subscription tier. Day-one releases including Kernel Hearts, Well Dweller, Minecraft Dungeons 2, and Gears of War: E-Day require Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass, as they are excluded from the Premium tier on their launch days. Conversely, titles such as Ninja Gaiden 4, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Keeper, and Dune: Awakening are included in the Premium lineup.

Cloud streaming support applies to all titles in this wave. According to platform specifications, players can transition sessions between mobile devices and consoles while retaining saved progress. Titles like Marvel Cosmic Invasion, Planet of Lana II, and Ninja Gaiden 4 support Xbox Series X|S, PC, and handheld devices, while Routine and Well Dweller extend compatibility to Xbox One via the console category.

Games Leaving Xbox Game Pass on September 30

Eight titles will exit the library at the end of the month, leaving subscribers approximately two weeks to complete them. Saved game data remains stored in the cloud after removal, though users must purchase the titles to continue playing through Game Pass. The departing games are:
