Xiaomi has made it clear that robots are a key part of it’s future technology plans. Now, the company says its humanoid robots will start working in its own factories soon – within just five years.
Real Production, Not Just Demonstrations

The company plans to put them to work on real production lines, doing repetitive tasks, assembling products, and jobs that need consistent accuracy. This shows a growing trend of moving advanced robots directly into factories.

Xiaomi has made good progress in how its robots move, handle objects, and manage their own power.
The robots shown so far can:
- Walk steadily,
- Use hands that can grip different items,
- Move wiht precision,
- And “see” and understand their surroundings using sensors and artificial intelligence (AI).
The company also says its software is designed to work with factory systems, and the robots can learn to do specific jobs.
Lower cost is Key
Xiaomi believes it can build humanoid robots for much less money than its competitors.
This could make Xiaomi one of the first companies able to sell functional robots widely, not just as a demonstration, but as a product industries can actually afford. This could have a big impact on manny industries.
