Harmony in Pink: Integrated Wellness Programs for Oncology Patients and Caregivers in Foggia, Italy

The Local Health Authority of Foggia, Italy, is enhancing support for individuals undergoing oncology therapy and their caregivers through innovative integrated wellness programs. Spearheaded by the oncology orientation center (C.Or.O) at the “Teresa Masselli Mascia” Hospital in San Severo, the initiative aims to address both the physical and psychological challenges associated with cancer treatment.

Open Day “Harmony in Pink”

On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, the Local Health Authority will host an open day, “Harmony in Pink,” to showcase the laboratory activities developed in collaboration with the Agata Foggia association. Ospedale “Teresa Masselli Mascia” serves as a key location for these programs.

Two 12-Month Workshop Programs

The initiative comprises two 12-month workshops, funded by the Puglia region, designed to provide comprehensive support:

• Specialist Oncology Aesthetics: This workshop focuses on addressing the aesthetic needs of patients, counteracting the side effects of oncological therapies and promoting the recovery of image and self-confidence through skin and nail care, makeup advice, and psychophysical well-being.
• Self-Esteem Support: This workshop incorporates oncological yoga to facilitate a gradual psycho-physical recovery. The program emphasizes relaxation, stress management, and energy recovery, aligning with the patient’s clinical path.

A Welcoming and Supportive Environment

“The Armonia in Rosa project was created to offer patients concrete and qualified support, capable of accompanying them throughout the entire treatment process,” states Massimo Lombardi, head of the oncology orientation center (C.Or.O) of San Severo. The goal is to establish a welcoming space where every woman feels supported.
