More than 26,000 participants are expected to run the sold-out race, which begins at Dodger Stadium and concludes in Century City. This year marks the 41st running of the event and features a new broadcasting partnership with NBC4 and Telemundo 52.

Road Closures

Road closures will be implemented on a rolling basis along the marathon route, beginning as early as 3:00 a.m. And lasting until approximately 6:00 p.m. On Sunday, March 8th.

Entertainment Along the Route

Spectators and runners alike can expect entertainment throughout the course, including “cheer zones,” performances by DJs, dragon dancers, and drummers. A full lineup of entertainment, mile by mile, is available online.

How to Watch

NBC4 and Telemundo 52 are the official broadcasting partners for the 2026 Los Angeles Marathon, with the partnership extending through at least 2029. The live broadcast will air on NBCLA and Telemundo 52 from 6:00 a.m. To 11:00 a.m. On Sunday, March 8th. Coverage will also be available on NBCLA’s website, YouTube channel, and Facebook page.

New Broadcasting Partnership

The McCourt Foundation, which produces the race, announced the new partnership with NBC4 and Telemundo 52, stating it “expands access for English and Spanish-speaking audiences across broadcast, digital, and streaming platforms.” This collaboration is particularly significant as 38% of the marathon’s participants identify as Hispanic, with Telemundo 52 providing dedicated Spanish-language coverage.

Live Programming and Commentary

Award-winning filmmaker Jon Dunham and The McCourt Foundation have co-produced the marathon’s live programming for the past five years. Veteran marathon commentator Toni Reavis returns for his 41st year, joined by three-time Olympian Deena Kastor. A change for 2026 will see the commentary desk relocated to the finish line, enhancing the broadcast’s energy and atmosphere.
