The examination into Tuesday’s explosion at a sushi restaurant in Strømmen has led to the arrest of a 16-year-old. The teenager, who denies the criminal charges, is currently in police custody for one week.

Police requested the 16-year-old’s remand in custody on Thursday following the explosion. Investigators beleive he played a facilitating role, though he was likely not present when the grenade detonated, according to police lawyer Eirik Braathen.
Romerike and Glåmdal District Court granted the request, authorizing a one-week period of custody due to concerns about potential evidence destruction.
