Glastonbury festival to Return in 2027 After Fallow Year
Glastonbury Festival will return in 2027, following a fallow year in 2026. The iconic music and performing arts event concluded its 2025 run with performances from artists including Dua lipa, coldplay, and SZA, and also a special set from Rod Stewart.
Fans will be able to attend the festival from Wednesday, June 23rd to sunday, June 27th, 2027. Tickets are expected to go on sale in November 2026.A limited number of tickets were previously made available in September 2024 through a prize draw benefiting Doctors Without Borders.
The 2026 fallow year is a customary practice for Glastonbury, allowing the land to recover. While the festival traditionally takes a break every five or six years, planned breaks in 2020 and 2021 were also enforced due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Bookmakers are already speculating on potential headliners for the 2027 festival, with names like Sam Fender, Ed Sheeran, Rihanna, and Little Simz frequently mentioned.
Olivia Rodrigo recently released a live album of her headline performance on the Pyramid Stage at the 2025 festival. Her set included a duet with Robert Smith of The Cure, performing their classics “Friday I’m In Love” and “Just Like Heaven.”
