Mexico Boasts second-Lowest Unemployment Rate Globally

President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo announced that Mexico is poised to end the year with one of the world’s lowest unemployment rates, at 2.7%.This figure places Mexico second globally, trailing only Japan with a rate of 2.6%.

“We close this year as the second country with the least unemployment in the world. The conversion delivers results,” Sheinbaum stated on X, accompanied by an official comparative graph released by the Mexican government.

The data, compiled on December 24th from datamacro.expansion.com/paro, showcases unemployment rates across 14 countries.

Following Mexico are germany (3.8%), the Netherlands (4%), Australia (4.3%), the United States (4.6%), and ireland (4.9%). Austria (5.8%), Italy (6%), Belgium (6.4%), France (7.7%),Sweden (9.1%), Finland (10.3%), and Spain (10.5%) complete the comparison.

It’s important to note that unemployment figures for Mexico, the Netherlands, Australia, the USA, Ireland, and Sweden reflect data up to November of this year. Data for Japan, Germany, Austria, Italy, Belgium, France, Finland, and Spain are current as of October.
