Pushing near 60° Monday through Wednesday

Rain chances thursday and Friday

In Washington, I’m Amy Lu. Much warmer temperatures than we are used to. Usually it’s like snow or really cold. This right now.Well, we hit the 50 mark today. We got the 52. It’s pretty good. We’re going for 60 tomorrow. Here we go.Hey, I just forecast and give you the forecast and the numbers. And some people will like this. Some will not because it does not feel like winter time here in Kansas City. And here we go for the next few days all the way through Wednesday. We’re talking about daytime highs very close to 60 degrees. This is something I think everybody can agree on, since we’re kind of in a drought all across eastern Kansas and western missouri. We need the rainfall and rain chances look pretty good. Okay, mostly on Thursday into early Friday. We’ll be watching that very carefully as new data comes in. But right now we’ve boosted it up just a little bit. 40% chance now for Thursday, 50% chance on Friday. these will be scattered showers. So not everybody is going to get the well needed rainfall. But again it’s the best chance we’ve had in a very long time on the Plaza on a Sunday afternoon. It looks nice. It is indeed nice out there. It is 49 degrees, 30 two two degree dew points. what I’m trying to say 52% relative humidity and our wind speed is about 16 miles an hour from the south direction, gusting at times near 20 to 24. Independence at 49 degrees, with Blue Springs and Lee’s Summit and Grandview 48. For Leavenworth, Tonganoxie at 49, Olathe, De Soto and Gardner about 50 degrees. A little farther out, farther north in Maryville at 46, Hiawatha 49, Garnett, you’re at 49 degrees, Sedalia 46, Marshall, 43, in Chillicothe at 46, Trenton.
