Adam “Cope” Copeland Officially Embraces New Ring Name in AEW

Adam Copeland, formerly known as Edge in WWE, made his long-anticipated name change official on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite: Fight for the Fallen. The charismatic star shortened his ring name to simply “Cope,” a title he has been using on social media since leaving WWE.

AEW commentators, ring announcer Justin Roberts, and the on-screen chyron all acknowledged the change, officially ushering in a new era for Copeland in All Elite Wrestling.

FTR’s Victory in Asheville

In a thrilling main event match, Cope, alongside Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler as Rated FTR, faced off against Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta of The Death Riders. The bout witnessed a dramatic turn with Jay White’s interference, ultimately securing victory for Rated FTR.

This win sets the stage for Rated FTR’s next challenge on Saturday’s AEW Collision, where they will take on Chris Jericho, Big Bill, and Bryan Keith of The Learning Tree.

Collision’s Historic Debut

Saturday’s AEW Collision episode holds special significance as it will be the first time the show is simulcast on the Max streaming service.
