Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia probably expects the United States to recognize Crimea as Russian, but Ukraine will not take actions that contradict its constitution, reports Ukrinform, broadcasts BTA.
“I think that Russia is sending a signal to America to recognize Crimea, knowing full well that Ukraine will not do it,” the head of state pointed out.
Zelensky added that the end of the war must be dignified and stable, “without creating new risks for future conflicts by rewarding the aggressor.”
“We are simply stating that if someone tries to solve issues that affect Ukraine and contradict its constitution or legislation, we will not support such agreements,” the president stressed.
