Aston MartinS AMR26: Newey’s first F1 Design and Honda’s Pre-Season Preparations

The Aston Martin AMR26 marks a significant milestone as the first Formula 1 car designed by Adrian Newey in his role as AMAF1 Managing technical Partner and team Principal. Advancement of the AMR26 is currently underway at the AMR Technology Campus, located at AMAF1 headquarters in Silverstone, UK.

Ahead of the 2026 season, Aston Martin and Honda are collaborating on extensive pre-season testing in Bahrain. The teams will dedicate six days – February 11-13 and February 18-20 – to rigorous testing and fine-tuning the AMR26. Thes sessions are crucial for optimizing performance before the season kicks off at the Australian Grand Prix on March 8,2026.
