Test & Reserve Driver Stoffel Vandoorne spearheaded the tire evaluation efforts, dedicating a full day to understanding the performance characteristics of the 2026 Pirelli compounds. Vandoorne completed a significant 108 laps (571km) focusing on analyzing tire behavior across a diverse range of run lengths, from short, high-intensity bursts to extended stints simulating race conditions. His work generated crucial data for the team’s engineers as they prepare for the upcoming season. Vandoorne’s fastest lap time during the test was recorded at 1:27.743.

“It’s always valuable to get back in the car and contribute to the team’s development,” said Vandoorne. “Today was focused on understanding the characteristics of the 2026 Pirelli tires, and we were able to complete a full program with plenty of representative running.
