February 12, 2026 – Sparklight, a leading broadband and connectivity provider, has invested $34 million over the past four years to further enhance internet reliability and performance across its South Carolina and Georgia markets. The investment includes new fiber routes and other network upgrades that strengthen network resilience, expand capacity and support faster speeds as customer connectivity needs continue to grow.
The network enhancements are designed to meet rising demand — particularly during peak usage periods — while delivering consistent performance across streaming, online gaming, virtual learning and remote work.

As part of the investment, Sparklight added new fiber routes that extend redundancy deeper into local communities. These additional pathways allow network traffic to be automatically rerouted if a fiber line is impacted, helping minimize service interruptions and maintain connectivity during unexpected events.
The added redundancy increases overall network resilience and provides additional peace of mind for customers who depend on reliable internet access.
