Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson officially began dating in July 2025, making their red carpet debut at the inaugural Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala in New York City . The rapper credits her personal growth and focus on mental health as key factors in opening herself up to love.

“I didn’t even recognize I was going to be in my relationship, to be honest,” Megan told PEOPLE. She emphasized the importance of self-function before entering a relationship, stating, “I consider that because finally I started being in a better mind space about myself and my life, and I had already been doing a lot of work to heal me…maybe God just opened up that space for me to have somebody that loved me right.”

Megan described the relationship as uniquely comfortable, stating, “This is one of the first times that I’ve ever been just overly comfortable.”
