Belkin ConnectAir Wireless HDMI Adapter: Cut the Cord with Seamless Screen Mirroring
Belkin has officially launched its ConnectAir Wireless HDMI Display Adapter, a device designed to eliminate the need for traditional HDMI cables and cumbersome wireless casting apps. Debuting at CES 2026 and now available for purchase, the ConnectAir offers a direct wireless connection for mirroring content from USB-C devices to HDMI displays.
How Does the Belkin ConnectAir Work?
The ConnectAir (model AVC024) consists of two primary components: an HDMI receiver that connects to a television or monitor, and a USB-C transmitter that plugs into a compatible laptop, tablet, or smartphone. Once connected and powered on, the devices establish a dedicated 5GHz wireless link, bypassing the need for Wi-Fi networks or Bluetooth pairing. This direct connection simplifies the process of displaying content on a larger screen.
Key Features and Specifications
- Resolution & Latency: Supports 1080p resolution at 60Hz with latency typically under 80 milliseconds, ensuring smooth video playback.
- Wireless Range: Offers a wireless range of up to 131 feet in open environments, though performance may vary in spaces with obstructions like walls.
- Compatibility: Compatible with USB-C devices supporting DisplayPort Alt Mode, including Windows laptops, macOS and ChromeOS devices, iPad Pro and iPad Air, and smartphones with Samsung DeX. It is not compatible with iPhones or other Lightning-based devices.

Beyond ConnectAir: Belkin’s CES 2026 Lineup
The ConnectAir was just one of several latest products unveiled by Belkin at CES 2026. The company also showcased next-generation chargers, including Qi2 25W wireless chargers, high-capacity power banks, and a charging case for the Nintendo Switch 2, featuring a removable 10,000mAh power bank and LCD screen for battery life monitoring.
Limitations
While the ConnectAir supports 1080p content, it may not be compatible with all 4K content due to its support for HDCP 1.4, which may not be sufficient for content requiring HDCP 2.2.
