Webster University and STLCC Expand Transfer Pathways for Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees
Webster University and St. Louis Community College (STLCC) have significantly expanded their partnership, adding eight new academic pathways designed to streamline the transfer process for students seeking bachelor’s and master’s degrees. This initiative reflects Webster University’s ongoing commitment to serving the growing number of students who begin their higher education journey at community colleges.
Expanding Transfer Options
The latest additions build upon a previous agreement established last year, which initially focused on four transfer paths within the Leigh Gerdine College of Fine Arts. With these new programs, the total number of available transfer options for STLCC students now reaches 27, encompassing programs within the School of Communications and other academic areas. Accelerated Degree Programs
According to Thao Dang-Williams, Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs at Webster University, “These agreements will make it easier for community college students to seamlessly transfer into a four-year undergraduate program, and two of those programs will allow the students to continue into a master’s program and finish the graduate degree within 12 months.” These articulation agreements aim to provide students with flexible educational paths while potentially saving them thousands of dollars in tuition costs.
