The incident occurred around 9:15 a.m. When a tanker truck carrying fuel oil overturned. Approximately 2,000 to 3,000 liters of fuel oil were released, according to initial estimates. Authorities have taken steps to contain the spill and prevent further contamination of the sewer network.

Firefighters, police, civil protection teams and other emergency services are collaborating to manage the situation. Measurements taken indicate no immediate danger to public health. Traffic on the Aarschotsesteenweg towards Aarschot is experiencing slight disruptions. The exit to Roeselberg is currently closed to facilitate cleanup efforts.
