Third Suspect Arrested in Pitt County Home Invasion

Greenville, NC – Authorities in Pitt County, North Carolina, have arrested a third suspect in connection with a violent home invasion that occurred on February 11th. The home invasion took place at a residence on Louis Street in the Cherry Oaks subdivision. Jonathan Garcia-Larios, 20, and Zaid Mayen, 21, were previously arrested on Friday, February 13th, in connection with the incident. WITN reports that Garcia-Larios and Mayen were in the country illegally at the time of their arrests and have been placed on ICE detainers.

Charges Filed Against the Suspects

All three men – Calderon, Garcia-Larios, and Mayen – face identical felony charges, including:

• First-degree burglary
• Assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury
• First-degree kidnapping
• First-degree forcible sex offense

The Pitt County Sheriff’s Office investigation revealed evidence from the home invasion was found at an apartment in Chapel Hill. All three suspects are currently being held without bond.
