YUL Montréal-Trudeau International Airport Prepares for Spring Break Rush

Montréal, February 24, 2026 – ADM Aéroports de Montréal is preparing for a busy spring break travel period at YUL Montréal-Trudeau International Airport. Passengers are advised to plan ahead due to ongoing construction and reduced parking availability. Anne-Sophie Hamel, spokesperson for ADM Aéroports de Montréal, will be available for interviews on February 25 and 26 at the airport, and opportunities will be available to photograph the demolition of the multi-level parking facility.

Parking Reservations Essential

With the permanent closure of the multi-level parking facility and EconoParc P5, parking is limited. ADM Aéroports de Montréal strongly recommends that all travellers reserve a parking spot in advance to guarantee availability. Reservations are essential to secure a space.

Plan for Increased Traffic and Airport Access

Increased passenger volume is expected to cause congestion, particularly during peak hours. Passengers are encouraged to prioritize using the Express P4 and P10 drop-off areas. It is strongly recommended that travellers arrive at the airport three hours before their scheduled flight.

Utilize YUL Transit Planner and Check Road Conditions

Travellers should plan their route to the airport using the YUL Transit Planner and check current road conditions and traffic using Québec 511 before departing.

Digital Check-In and CBSA Declaration

To expedite the airport process, passengers are encouraged to use the free digital check-in services offered at YUL. Travellers returning to Canada can also simplify their arrival by completing their customs and immigration declaration for the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) in advance using the CBSA app.

Passenger Pick-Up Information

Those picking up passengers should use the Express drop-off area near parking lot P4. If the arriving passenger has not yet arrived, drivers can utilize the CellParc holding lot for up to two hours free of charge.

Contact Information and Assistance

For questions regarding travel plans, passengers can consult the “Questions and Answers” section of the ADM website. Upon arrival at the airport, red-jacketed ambassadors are available to provide assistance with directions. Real-time online support is also available through the YULChat chat service.
