Viktoria Tolstoy and Jacob Karlzon to Release ‘Who We Are’ and Perform at Nica Jazz Club

Swedish singer Viktoria Tolstoy and pianist Jacob Karlzon are set to release their new album, Who We Are, on January 30, 2026, followed by a live performance at Nica Jazz Club in Hamburg on February 21, 2026.

A Collaboration of Decades

The album marks a significant milestone for Tolstoy and Karlzon, representing nearly three decades of musical partnership. Who We Are is described as a musical self-portrait, reflecting their shared experiences and artistic connection. According to Karlzon, their collaboration has reached a point where they simply “tell [their] story” rather than reinventing it. He emphasizes the equal partnership, stating there is “no separation between soloist and accompanist,” but rather a connection of “two soul mates at eye level.”

About the Album

Who We Are is a culmination of mutual trust and a unique artistic language developed over years of collaboration. The duo’s journey began in the mid-1990s during a UK tour by Tolstoy. They have since recorded six previous albums together, including Letter To Herbie (2011), a tribute to Herbie Hancock, and A Moment of Now (2013), their first duo recording.

Performance Details

The performance at Nica Jazz Club will seize place on February 21, 2026, with doors opening at 6:30 PM and the show starting at 8:00 PM. Tickets are available for purchase.
