The WEF initiated an independent review into Brende’s ties to Epstein following the release of US Department of Justice files detailing Epstein’s associates . Brende acknowledged having dined with Epstein on three occasions between 2018 and 2019, and having communicated with him via email and text message. Alois Zwinggi will serve as interim president and CEO whereas the organization’s board of trustees searches for a permanent successor . Zwinggi previously held a managing director position within the WEF’s executive body.
