D.C. Weather: Warm Weekend Finale Before Wintry Return

Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Northern Virginia are set to enjoy a pleasant weekend, with Saturday offering exceptionally warm temperatures for the final day of meteorological winter. However, a shift in weather patterns will bring colder conditions and a potential wintry mix early next week.

Warmth on Saturday

Saturday promises mostly sunny skies and warmer temperatures, with highs reaching between 58° and 64° Fahrenheit. If Washington, D.C. Reaches 64°, it will mark the warmest day of meteorological winter according to Storm Team4. This pleasant weather offers a welcome respite after one of the coldest winters in recent years as reported by WJLA.

Cooler Sunday and a Look Ahead

Sunday will be slightly cooler, with partly sunny and breezy conditions. Highs will range from 48° to 56° Fahrenheit as a cold front moves through the area according to NBC Washington. Monday will be cloudy and much colder, with highs only reaching 35° to 40° Fahrenheit.

Wintry Mix Possible Tuesday

Early Tuesday, the D.C. Area may experience a wintry mix of precipitation that will transition to rain by mid-morning or midday. While currently expected to be a low-impact event, it could cause some morning delays Storm Team4 reports. Warming Trend Towards Week’s Finish
