Hawaii’s decisive victory was highlighted by an eight-run outburst in the fourth inning, fueled by six hits that chased Ball State starter Keegan Johnson from the mound. The Rainbow Warriors initially took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning.
Cardinals Struggle to Find Offense
Despite getting hits from Gavin Balius, Brett Griffiths, and Jacob Gillis, Ball State was unable to capitalize offensively. This trio also recorded the Cardinals’ hits in the first game of the series, with each player now having two hits across the two games.
