Blunt currently reports for the Wall Street Journal in San Francisco, focusing on Google and the impact of artificial intelligence on search technology. Her function also encompasses the rapid expansion of data centers and its implications for the power grid. Previously, she covered power, renewable energy, and utilities for the Journal, with a focus on risks facing Western utilities, including wildfires.

Pulitzer Recognition and Award-Winning Journalism

Blunt’s reporting, alongside her colleagues, on Pacific Gas & Electric was a finalist for the 2020 Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting and received a Gerald Loeb Award. She is also the author of “California Burning: The Fall of Pacific Gas and Electric—and What It Means for America’s Power Grid,” a national bestseller and the 2022 Golden Poppy Award winner for nonfiction.
