Oncology Care Centralized at Hospital São Vicente de Paulo in Brazil
Effective March 1, 2026, oncology care previously offered at the Women’s Health Outpatient Clinic at the University Hospital (HU) will be consolidated at the Specialty Outpatient Clinic of Hospital São Vicente de Paulo (HSVP) in Brazil. This change aims to enhance the quality and specialization of cancer care for patients in the region.
Specialized Oncology Services at HSVP
Hospital São Vicente de Paulo (HSVP) has been designated as a UNACON (High Complexity Care Unit in Oncology), a distinction awarded to hospitals accredited by the Unified Health System (SUS) for their capabilities in cancer diagnosis and treatment. HSVP is accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI) since 2008, demonstrating a commitment to international standards of quality and patient safety. HSVP offers technology focused on the self-esteem and quality of life of patients undergoing cancer treatment.
Continuity of Care
Patients with existing appointments – both initial consultations and follow-up visits – will maintain their scheduled times. The HSVP team will proactively notify patients of the new location for their appointments. Social work and psychological support services for oncology patients will as well be provided at the HSVP Specialty Outpatient Clinic.
Ongoing Services and Partnerships
Physiotherapy services will continue to be available at the Women’s Health Clinic, by appointment, coordinated through the hospital team. Surgical procedures will remain at the University Hospital, continuing the established partnership between the two institutions.
