GM Revamps Loyalty Program with Modern GM Rewards Mastercard
General Motors (GM) has redesigned its GM Rewards loyalty program and launched the GM Rewards Mastercard, issued by Barclays US Consumer Bank. The updates aim to provide customers with more ways to earn and redeem rewards points across GM brands, services, and everyday purchases.
Key Features of the Enhanced GM Rewards Program
- Easier Access to Savings: The revamped program simplifies earning and redeeming GM Rewards points.
- Expanded Redemption Options: Members can now redeem points towards digital services like OnStar plans and Super Cruise, as well as towards vehicle purchases, parts, accessories, and services.
- Exclusive Experiences: GM is offering member-exclusive experiences, including access to racing events and EV excursions.
- GM Rewards Mastercard: The new card provides additional earning opportunities and benefits.
GM Rewards Mastercard Benefits
- Bonus Points: Earn 30,000 bonus points after spending $1,000 in the first 90 days.
- Accelerated Earning: Cardmembers earn up to 7x points on eligible GM purchases (7x with the GM Mastercard plus an additional 3x for registered GM Rewards members) and 3x points on all other purchases.
- No Cap on Earnings: There is no limit to the number of points cardholders can earn.
Earning GM Rewards Points
GM Rewards members can earn points in several ways:
- Vehicle Purchases: Earn 1x point for every $5 spent on eligible new GM vehicles.
- GM Purchases: Earn 3x points for every $1 spent on eligible GM purchases.
- Card Spending: Earn points on everyday purchases with the GM Rewards Mastercard.
- OnStar: Earn points when purchasing an OnStar plan.
- Paid Certified Service: Earn points when scheduling service with a GM dealer.
Redeeming GM Rewards Points
Points can be redeemed for:
- Vehicle purchases or leases
- Eligible accessories
- GM Financial or Cadillac Financial account balances
- Digital services like OnStar and Super Cruise
- Exclusive experiences
Combining Rewards
GM Rewards points can now be combined with GM’s Family First employee, dealer, and supplier discount programs for eligible customers.
