KP Ramazan Relief Package: Rs12,500 Aid Begins Distribution

Peshawar, Pakistan – The distribution of financial assistance under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Ramazan relief package commenced today, Wednesday, March 4, 2026, providing Rs12,500 to eligible families across the province. The initiative, backed by a provincial government allocation of Rs13 billion, aims to support over one million individuals during the holy month.

Package Details and Eligibility

Each eligible family will receive Rs12,500 in financial aid. The KP government has released the necessary funds from the Finance Department to the Social Welfare Department to facilitate the distribution process. Priority will be given to vulnerable groups including orphans, widows, persons with disabilities, and temporarily homeless individuals.

Beneficiary Numbers and Distribution

A total of 1,016,394 individuals are expected to benefit from the Ramazan package, which will be distributed across all 35 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The highest concentration of beneficiaries will be in Peshawar, with 108,500 individuals receiving support. Other districts with significant beneficiary numbers include Swat (67,500), Mardan (60,486), and Charsadda (over 40,000).

Distribution Process

Deputy Commissioners, District Social Welfare Officers, and Additional Deputy Commissioners have been authorized to oversee the distribution process at the district level. Eligible individuals will receive a notification via mobile phone message, informing them of their eligibility and providing details on how to collect the Ramazan package from designated shops.

Program Integration and Funding

The KPK Ramzan Package is designed to assist vulnerable families during Ramadan by providing essential financial aid. The program integrates with national databases to efficiently identify beneficiaries. The Rs. 12,500 cash grant is a one-time payment to eligible households.
