Amici 25: Anticipations for the March 8th Episode and Changes to the Serale

The latest episode of Amici 25, recorded on Wednesday, March 4th, 2026, and set to air on Sunday, March 8th, on Canale 5, delivered a surprising twist in the competition for a place in the Serale. The episode featured performances and appearances by several prominent figures from the Italian entertainment industry.

Guests on the March 8th Episode

The upcoming episode will host Emma Marrone and Rkomi, who will be promoting their novel single, “Vacci piano,” scheduled for release on March 13th. Fabio De Luigi and Virginia Raffaele will be in the studio to present their new film, “Un bel giorno.”

Changes to the Serale Selection Process

A significant change was announced during the recording: the production team intervened to address a stalemate regarding the number of students admitted to the Serale. Initially, a maximum of twelve students were allowed. Following a disagreement between professors Anna Pettinelli and Lorella Cuccarini, and proposals from the students themselves, the production rejected both proposals.

A red envelope revealed that the limit of twelve students has been abolished, and the requirement for three “yes” votes from category teachers has been reduced to just two. This change dramatically altered the outcome of the selection process.

Who Made it to the Serale?

As a result of the rule changes, almost all of the students have been granted access to the Serale. The only student eliminated was Giulia, who was deemed “too raw” and not yet ready for the competition by both Emanuel Lo and Alessandra Celentano. Celentano specifically cited Giulia’s rigid posture, downcast gaze, and overall anonymity as reasons for her decision. Even as Veronica Peparini attempted to defend Giulia, and Giulia herself expressed concerns about her personality, Maria De Filippi offered encouragement.

Individual Student Progress

Several students received positive feedback and secured their place in the Serale. Simone, Alessio (who is now recovered from an injury), and Kiara all received three “yes” votes. Caterina, Plasma, Opi, Riccardo, and Lorenzo each received two “yes” votes. Notably, Opi initially received two “no” votes before securing the necessary approvals. Nicola was absent due to a family bereavement.

This episode marks a pivotal moment in Amici 25, setting the stage for an exciting and competitive Serale.
