Diablo IV and DOOM: The Dark Ages Crossover Brings Slayer Cosmetics to Sanctuary
Sanctuary is bracing for a demonic invasion of a different kind as Diablo IV prepares to cross over with DOOM: The Dark Ages. The collaboration, announced during the recent Diablo Spotlight showcase, will introduce a range of cosmetics inspired by the iconic DOOM franchise to Blizzard’s action RPG.
What’s Included in the DOOM Crossover?
Players can earn free emblems and unlock the “Forsaken Gates” Town Portal through the event. A variety of DOOM-themed cosmetics will be available, including weapon transmogs and a free reliquary. Specifically, players can acquire:
- Shield Saw cosmetic
- Slayer’s Flail
- Head of the Cyberdemon back trophy
The collaboration functions similarly to previous events, such as the Berserk collaboration, where players collect a new currency by slaying demons. This currency is then used to claim the DOOM: The Dark Ages cosmetic items. Elite and champion monsters can drop the currency, while Lair Bosses have a chance to drop a DOOM Chest containing Unique Items with DOOM Crucible-themed transmogs.
Limited-Time Free Emblems
From March 11th to March 15th, players can claim free DOOM emblems from the in-game shop:
- March 11: Dark Before the Dawn
- March 13: Grandeur of the Gutted
- March 15: Rip and Tear
Optional Shop Skins
Additional purchasable cosmetics will also be available in the shop starting March 12th, offering further opportunities to customize characters with a DOOM aesthetic.
Season of Slaughter and Beyond
The DOOM: The Dark Ages crossover coincides with the launch of Diablo IV’s Season of Slaughter on March 11th at 10 AM PT. This season introduces the ability to transform into The Butcher, new Helltide events, and a new dungeon type called the Slaughterhouse. A free Paladin class trial will also be available from March 11th to March 18th.
The DOOM: The Dark Ages collaboration offers a unique opportunity for Diablo IV players to embrace the brutal aesthetic of the DOOM universe within the dark fantasy world of Sanctuary.
