Pedestrian Hospitalized After Collision in Limerick City Centre

A pedestrian is recovering in hospital after being struck by a car in Limerick city centre on Saturday night. The incident occurred on Little Gerald Griffin Street, near William Street, at approximately 7:00 PM.

According to a Garda spokesperson, emergency services responded to a road traffic collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle. A male in his 40s was transported to University Hospital Limerick with injuries that are not considered life-threatening. Investigations into the circumstances of the collision are currently underway.

A section of Little Gerald Griffin Street was temporarily closed while paramedics attended to the injured man and Gardaí conducted their investigation. The road has since been reopened.
